LEVEL I – This level is for students ages 7-9
who are ready for the step up from combo classes to full subject classes. At this age students have a better understanding
of all subjects and can better choose which classes they would like to start focusing on.
LEVEL II – Our level II classes are for
ages 10-12. Most of these students have taken level I and are ready for more of a challenge.
Level III - By level III, students have started to show more of a commitment to the
program and are focusing more on pursuing dance for the long term. Our level III classes are for ages 13 and up unless otherwise
placed by the artistic director.
TEEN – Recreational level for ages 13 and up.
These classes do not have any requirements or dress codes. Teen classes are geared more for the student who is looking for
a fun yet challenging class.
LEVEL IV
– Pre-professional classes for the serious dancer. All our level IV classes are by audition only.
BALLET/TAP COMBOS – The perfect class for the young
dancers ages 3-6, our ballet and tap combo classes help students explore the magical world of dance as they are introduced
to ballet movements, rhythm skills with tap and song and dance, emphasizing large motor skills.
BALLET - Ballet is the foundation of all dance
forms. We offer technique classes at all levels. Our classes have a strong classical foundation with a twist of more modern
musical selections.
BODY DESIGN - A full body workout using light weights and body resistance to
tone & strengthen muscles. Emphasis will be placed on strengthening the Core. Level: beg, int, adv
CARDIO BARRE
- A unique class that combines ballet barre work and light weights with continual fat burning motion. Central to
the workout are toning and resistance exercises for the butt, legs, torso and arms to sculpt muscles and elongate the appearance
of your body.
CARDIO HIP HOP - A moderate-impact
cardio workout that conditions muscles, burns major calories, and is super fun! Cardio Hip Hop is appropriate for
all ages! It is simple choreography that is gradually introduced and built upon, but you are always moving so you're always
sweating. It is a hip hop soundtrack which is a blast to workout to!!!
CONTEMPORARY - This
class focuses on the raw emotion of one's inner thoughts and feelings, and then expresses these various sentiments
through movement. This style taps into the soul, allowing the student to eventually reach a level of pure, believable
performance. Although formal technique is not the main focus in this class, it is necessary for the strength and poise
needed in this art form.
FLOOR BARRE
- This class helps you correct alignment, perfect your technique, develop maximum turnout and extension, rehabilitate and
prevent injuries, and accelerate years of training.
GIRLFRENZY –
Do you dance in front of your mirror? Do you love being a girl? Then this is the class for
you! Upbeat, popular dance music enables you to let loose in this class and just enjoy being a girl! This class
does fuse hip hop and jazz dance styles, leaving you feeling empowered! (level depends on enrollment)
HIP HOP
– Hip-Hop is best described as high energy street movement. Since there are no set rules
on how your body should move, except to be original and energetic, hip-hop has become very popular through the years with
all ages. Because no two people dance the same way in hip- hop, it allows students to be themselves and dance “out of
the box”.
JAZZ
- We offer technique classes at all levels starting at age 7. Jazz has several styles and rhythms
from blues to pop. The various styles taught include Lyrical Jazz, Broadway Jazz, and Jazz Funk.
MUSICAL THEATRE – Our Musical Theatre classes combine dancing, acting and singing. Students learn techniques through scene work,
monologues, mime and improvisation as well as breathing techniques, harmonies, pitch, and vocalization. This class teaches
everything you need to know for the stage!
TAP - Tap
is a musical and rhythmic study of sounds and movement together. Our classes offer both rhythm tap and Broadway Tap.
