OUR STORY
Hi, I’m Dana Adames, the owner of The Talent Factory. From the moment I was born I was dancing! My mom owned studios so I was born into a dance studio family. Spending every waking moment at the studio! It was something I loved. It was something I lived everyday. When I was 13 I started teaching and choreographing. It was my passion. I moved to NYC in 2001 at age 21 and then back home a week before 9/11… so grateful I did. I decided to open a performing arts centre where kids of all ages could dance, act and sing. There was nothing like it around. We opened The Talent Factory in 2004, my fiancé Hugo at the time named the business! I contacted a beautiful dancer I grew up with at my mom’s studio named Tara Iacobucci to teach alongside me. I knew we needed a strong ballet foundation. I loved ballet growing up but my passion was jazz, tap, musical theatre and hip hop.

We grew leaps and bounds year after year and 10 years later, my husband sold his business to join forces with me, creating an even bigger community for our kids to be a part of.
It’s truly amazing how something I loved so much would turn into into a fulfilling career.

Considering our humble beginnings and our story of unwavering commitment and passion, it’s safe to say you should always let your child follow their dreams – you don’t know what beautiful things can happen along the way. I do what I do because I love it! And more importantly, I get to see hundreds of students falling in love with themselves, their lives, and the idea of working hard to shine brighter.
Over the last two decades, I have watched kids graduate from middle school, high school, college, and start their careers. We are also very fortunate to have some of these young adults come back to share their passion and we even have some on our staff today. I am humbled to have a career where I get to pass along my passion to others who will one day look back and remember how much they loved the performing arts.
We have had the pleasure of working with over 3000 kids throughout the years which is incredible. Some are even now having children of their own!
After 20 years, we are still going strong and loving what we do! You may not see me personally in the studios on a daily basis because not only do I run our performing arts studio, but I also help run The Event Factory, our sister company as well as the best job of all, a mom to two of the coolest kids. I am so fortunate I get to pursue all of my passions, including the studio and one big reason behind that is because at TF we have created highly qualified directors in each department and our front desk staff and management go above and beyond to make sure your experience with us exceeds your expectations. We strive to create great dancers, actors, and singers but we also strive to create great kids. The skills you learn here will last a lifetime.
