TARA IACOBUCCI

With over thirty years of experience, Tara is well versed in various styles of dance, both as a performer and an educator/choreographer. A convention kid, Tara later switched her focus solely to her ballet training. She quickly landed the role of Clara in Festival Ballet's “The Nutcracker", and went on to dance a wide variety of roles in this ballet, as well as many others such as Les Sylphides, Sleeping Beauty, Dracula, Swan Lake, Firebird, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. In 2001, Tara signed professionally with Festival Ballet Providence under the direction of Mihailo Djuric. Since then, Tara has become an esteemed educator and choreographer, traveling to many studios, festivals and conventions.

She finds her home with the Talent Factory, having been here since its first day back in 2004. She has helped to develop and implement their pre-professional training program, along the way allowing for many outside opportunities to be had by the dancers. She is an adjudicator and convention teacher throughout several tours within the industry, loving to be able to travel and spread her passion, knowledge and energy even further. Tara holds credits on film for both Curtain Call Costumes and independent projects, a couple receiving coverage in Dance Teacher Magazine as well as Dance Spirit Magazine.

Tara strives to continuously push the boundaries that surround her movement, concepts and accolades, while always incorporating a great level of interpretation, inspiration, honesty and diversity. Her students and choreography are repeatedly recognized with Highest Overall Scores, Choreography Awards, Convention & College Scholarships, even Regional and National Titles! Tara still continues to learn, dance and perform whenever she can. Recent highlights were auditioning Joffrey School dancers in NYC for a piece she was asked to choreograph, as well as giving her own elite dancers the chance of a lifetime to perform Tara’s choreography on the Joyce Theater stage in January 2020.

In Summer 2021, Tara graciously accepted the position of Adjunct Professor at Dean College in MA for the dance department. Always thrilled to take on a new season at Talent Factory, Tara cannot wait to share the space with you all! www.taramariechoreography.com
